At Te Tautoko Ora, we are seeking a culturally competent Youth Programme Coordinator to play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our kaupapa Māori Mahi Whakaara Youth Programme. This role combines cultural guidance, mentorship, and practical support to ensure the programmes are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with tikanga Māori values.

The successful candidate will work closely with programme staff, rangatahi, whānau, government, youth and community stakeholders to create a positive, culturally safe, and supportive environment that nurtures growth and belonging.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who have a strong understanding and practice of tikanga Māori, te reo Māori, and mātauranga Māori, as well as experience working with rangatahi in community, education, or youth development settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement culturally responsive programming that meets the needs of rangatahi.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with programme staff, whānau, and community stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with programme staff to design and deliver programmes that align with tikanga Māori values.

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, and a dynamic work environment that values innovation and creativity.
