About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Counsellor to join our team at Habit Health. As a key member of our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), you will provide short-term interventions and support to employees across a range of mental health matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver focused interventions to empower clients with coping mechanisms for work and life challenges
  • Visit worksites to provide timely support after events that disrupt business continuity
  • Offer counselling services through in-person, video, and telehealth platforms
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for clients on various topics
Requirements
  • A strong sense of empathy and understanding of others' experiences
  • Current registration with relevant professional bodies (NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB, or NZCCA)
  • Tertiary-level Counselling or related qualification (Level 7)
  • Desirable experience in psychological first aid, couples counselling, and working with children and teenagers
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapy models (SFT, CBT, FACT) is advantageous
