Role Overview
The University of Auckland is seeking an experienced professional to join its Alumni Relations & Development (ARD) team as a Development Manager. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in connecting the university's vital work with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and charitable partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a coordinated and integrated philanthropic scholarships plan to raise funds for undergraduate scholarships
- Establish and manage relationships with individual prospects and corporate partners to secure significant philanthropic gifts for scholarships
- Leverage interpersonal skills to effectively engage and steward donors, ensuring their contributions are acknowledged and valued
- Collaborate with senior leaders and the ARD team to provide a comprehensive programme of recognition and engagement for major donors
- Manage a portfolio of scholarship donors, working across all areas of the university
