The Salvation Army Midland Bridge Centre is a leading provider of treatment and support services for individuals affected by alcohol or substance use.

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to fill a key position as a Case Worker/Social Worker in our residential service in Hamilton.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Provide casework that addresses the complex needs of individuals experiencing co-existing addiction and mental health issues.
  • Foster a supportive environment for group facilitation and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care and support services.
  • Implement policies and procedures aligned with our organisational values and best practices.

**Person Specifications:**

  • Tertiary qualification in Alcohol & Drug studies or related field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Nursing).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional registration with relevant bodies (DAPAANZ, SWRB, HPCA).
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development in addiction studies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, maintaining confidentiality and respect for individual privacy.
  • Experience in group facilitation and case management within the Alcohol & Drug sector.
  • Awareness of Treaty of Waitangi requirements and willingness to work from a bi-cultural perspective.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse backgrounds and cultures.

This is a permanent full-time role of 40 hours per week; however, part-time hours may be considered for the right candidate. Remuneration will be dependent on years of experience.
