**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Private Secretary to support Honorable Minister Brown in his role as Minister for Health, Minister for State Owned Enterprises, and Minister for Auckland.

This is a unique opportunity to work with a tight-knit team who support the Minister as part of the 54th Parliament. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of the machinery of Government, experience working with complex legislative and operational policy frameworks, and well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will be accustomed to anticipating and mitigating risk, operating on a 'no surprises' basis, keeping the Minister and wider team informed of issues that impact on the workings of government. They will also have a strong eye for detail and ability to work and problem solve at pace, role modeling positivity, maturity, and resilience.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Managing the Minister's calendar and diary
  • Financial reporting and travel arrangements
  • Providing administrative support to the Minister and the wider team

**Requirements:**

  • Extensive knowledge of the machinery of Government
  • Experience working with complex legislative and operational policy frameworks
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
