Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced sales professional to join our team as a Business Development Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, targeting and developing new business opportunities within their territory.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the designated territory
* Provide customers with relevant information on new products, services, compliance and market/industry developments
* Implement market driven and customer specific sales strategies
* Develop and strengthen strategic business relationships with key decision makers
* Survey, specify and quote direct to new customers
* Maintain and improve knowledge of the company product range, competitor products and general market information to add value to customer interactions
Requirements
* Proven sales experience with a true hunter mentality
* Skilled at generating and evolving own leads through cold calling, networking and market research
* Results focused attitude, with demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing new business relationships
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Good time management skills with ability to work autonomously
* Strong business acumen, influencing and relationship building skills
* Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new systems
