As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals develop their independence and acquire skills for daily living. Your tasks will include assisting with public transportation, employment, finances, and meal preparation. Depending on the work environment, you may also assist with individual needs such as shopping, cleaning, showering, and medication administration.

No prior experience in the health and disability sector is necessary, but a strong desire to pursue a career as a Support Worker with a positive attitude is highly valued. Full training and orientation will be provided to individuals who demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working flexible shifts, including weekends and sleepover shifts. They should also be proficient in using computers and tablets daily, possess strong written and verbal communication skills, and have a physical fitness level that allows them to provide necessary physical support.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $23.84-$29.10 depending on relevant qualifications, with opportunities to earn more as you gain qualifications. IDEA Services supports you towards completion of Level 2, 3, and 4 Certificates in Health and Wellbeing qualifications. You will also receive generous long service leave entitlements, insurance benefits after two years' service, and a 'Refer a Friend' Bonus programme.
