The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Auckland. As a key member of our Medical Team, you will actively interface with multiple external and internal stakeholders to ensure the implementation of our local strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to build and maintain relationships with Key Thought Leaders through discussions on Novo Nordisk marketed medicines, future pipeline assets, and chronic disease management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop face-to-face and virtual relationships with external experts & healthcare professionals in obesity, diabetes and chronic disease management and participate in robust and transparent scientific dialogue.
  • Respond to requests for scientific and medical information in a comprehensive, timely and customer-focused manner.
  • Facilitate face-to-face and virtual presentations to nurses, Specialists, and formulary committees.
  • Provide medical input and expertise in the development of medical-marketing strategies, evidence-based medical education, and promotional campaigns.
  • Expand your knowledge in cardiovascular and endocrine pharmacology, drug development, real-world evidence generation, health outcomes, and patient safety.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Pharmaceutical or life sciences.
  • At least 2 years+ of demonstrated and achieved MSL experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Excellent scientific communication skills and confidence in presenting to diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must either be a New Zealand Citizen or have a current residency Visa to live and work in New Zealand.
