We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our collaborative team of payroll professionals. As a key member of our Payroll Services team, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of contracts, time & attendance data, maintenance of employee masterdata, and ensuring high quality delivery of payroll services to employees.

The successful applicant will join a highly supportive community that values collaboration, innovation, and passion. This part-time position offers 16 hours per week on a 12-month fixed-term contract based in Hamilton.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Accurate processing of contracts, time & attendance data, and maintenance of employee masterdata
  • Responding to queries across the waged payroll, with a strong collective agreement focus
  • Investigating any issues and offering viable solutions to assist in a timely manner
  • Preparation and processing of fortnightly pay cycle
  • Processing of changes for employees moving positions and terminate leavers
  • Leave requests such as parental leave, leave corrections requested by the wider business and leave cash ups

To succeed in this role, you will require excellent communication and customer service skills, an ability to remain calm under pressure, and a reliable work ethic.
