About the Role

Tuaropaki Power Company seeks a skilled professional to oversee the efficient and accurate processing of transactions, payments, and journals. This critical role will contribute to the success of the company by fostering improvements in processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and promoting system efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process all transactions, including payroll, payments, and journals, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify and implement improvements to transaction workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Administer payroll and ensure compliance with banking covenants and cash flow requirements.
  • Oversee the work and development of the Payments and Transactions Officer, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Contribute to cash flow forecasting and ensure that the company's financial operations run smoothly.
  • Assist with procurement processes and ensure adherence to the Delegation of Authority (DOA) Policy.
  • Champion the use of TechOne software, promoting system efficiency and best practices.

What You'll Need

  • A Chartered Accountant qualification or currently working towards it.
  • Significant experience with procurement, ERP, and payments systems.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and payment processing systems.
  • Ability to accurately process and reconcile transactions, ensuring data integrity.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Experience in automating workflows and setting up new business processes.
  • A good understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
