Key Responsibilities

  • To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with best practice guidelines and organisational policies.
  • To provide clinical leadership and expertise in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care.
  • To enhance community health and equity through provision of advanced care within multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • A current New Zealand practicing certificate.
  • Prior experience in a medical centre (desirable).
  • Competence in areas of nursing in either or both primary and secondary care.
  • Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi.
  • Postgraduate nursing qualifications (or if you are working towards one) and/or specialisation is highly desirable; such as travel or occupational health, prescribing or long-term conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build strong rapport with team members.
  • You will ideally hold a current CPR certificate.
  • Immunisation and smear taker certificates are desirable but not essential.
