We are currently seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in several clinics across West Auckland.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working closely with our medical team to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Assessment and Diagnosis: Assessing and diagnosing patients with complex needs, developing treatment plans and implementing interventions as required.
  2. Medication Management: Prescribing and reviewing medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national protocols.
  3. Patient Education and Support: Providing information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions, supporting patients to adopt healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.
  4. Follow-up Arrangements: Making follow-up arrangements for casual patients as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  1. Current Registration: Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner or passed Nursing Council evaluation to become a Nurse Practitioner.
  2. Advanced Experience: Advanced experience in Acute Nursing, with General Practice and Urgent Care nursing experience desirable.
  3. Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
  4. Awareness of ACC and PHC: Awareness of ACC and PHC, with familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) an advantage.
  5. Commitment to Health Equity: Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency, and able to demonstrate an understanding of Māori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
