Nurse Practitioner Position in West Auckland

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team in several clinics across West Auckland.
Tamaki Health is a strong network of over 50 clinics delivering high-quality care through affiliated general practices, urgent care clinics, specialist centers, and occupational health clinics.
As a Nurse Practitioner at Tamaki Health, you will be responsible for:
- Providing Quality Care: Ensuring proper triage and patient care, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating interventions/treatments for patients with complex needs.
- Medication Management: Prescribing and reviewing medication for therapeutic effectiveness, appropriate to patient needs and in accordance with evidence-based practice and national protocols.
- Patient Education and Support: Providing information and advice on prescribed or over-the-counter medication, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions, supporting patients to adopt healthy lifestyles and apply principles of self-care.
- Follow-up Arrangements: Making follow-up arrangements for casual patients as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Current Registration: Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner or passed Nursing Council evaluation to become a Nurse Practitioner.
- Advanced Experience: Advanced experience in Acute Nursing, with General Practice and Urgent Care nursing experience desirable.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Awareness of ACC and PHC: Awareness of ACC and PHC, with familiarity with MedTech 32 or MedTech Evolution (or similar) an advantage.
- Commitment to Health Equity: Someone who is committed to the principles of health equity and cultural competency, and able to demonstrate an understanding of Māori tikanga and kawa and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
