Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Nurse Practitioner to join our supportive and friendly team. The successful candidate will excel in comprehensive patient care, performing autonomous assessments, diagnoses, treatments, screenings, and prescribing medications. They will offer personalised advice requiring a friendly, compassionate, and proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Care for a diverse patient base across all age groups
  • Work collaboratively with GPs, experienced nurses, administration, and the Medical Centre Manager
  • Participate in teaching clinics as a Cornerstone practice

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current registration with the NZNC as a Nurse Practitioner and current APC
  • Your practice aligns with the principles of The Treaty of Waitangi
  • Prior experience in a medical centre is an advantage
  • An aim to improve healthcare access across the practice population
  • An in-depth knowledge of and passion for primary health care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A physically fit person who is confident, friendly and approachable
