About the Role

The Senior Patient Safety Advisor plays a key role in leading our patient safety team, providing strategic direction and support. This position requires a relevant clinical background and experience in patient safety, quality improvement, project management, and equity.

We are seeking a highly motivated health professional with excellent teamwork, communication, and relationship management skills. You will be responsible for:

  1. Leading a small team to achieve shared goals.
  2. Developing and implementing patient safety initiatives.
  3. Collaborating with stakeholders to improve healthcare outcomes.
  4. Analysing data to inform decision-making.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of health inequities, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and pro-equity solutions. You will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to problem solve effectively.
