About the Role
Tawhirimatea is a 29-bed rehabilitation unit providing safe care for up to 29 people within Te Korowai Whariki's Rehabilitation Service. This regional innovative service supports tangata whaiora in their journey with a multi-disciplinary team approach.

We advocate for best practice, sharing of ideas, and continuum of change management processes to align with our vision. We foster a team dedicated to ongoing training and patient safety, with active engagement in clinical supervision and robust orientation process.

You will work collaboratively within a team, supporting Mental Health Support Workers under your direction and delegation. You will bring active listening skills and solution-focused approach to foster tangata whaiora achieving their identified goals within their pathway journey. You will have the ability to take on new learning where required to support your role within the team and possess good communication skills with team members, tangata whaiora, and whanau.
