The Mobile Speed Camera Operator will operate on a 24/7 rotational schedule, responsible for setting up, operating, and dismantling mobile platform-based enforcement systems in various locations across New Zealand. This role contributes to our mission of community safety, requiring a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive site risk evaluations before every enforcement session.
- Set up and synchronize mobile enforcement equipment in collaboration with the control center.
- Oversee and operate camera and radar systems during enforcement activities.
- Record and report any issues or incidents, including submitting maintenance reports complete with supporting evidence.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift tasks, including thorough checks of observatory assets and systems.
- Maintain continuous communication with the control room throughout the shift.
- Adhere to company protocols, including safe driving practices and professional public interactions.
- Holding a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience operating vehicles in a professional capacity.
- Demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting data.
- Exhibiting excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with the public and team members.
- Able to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with traffic laws and regulations in New Zealand.
- Proficiency in using technology and computer systems for data entry and reporting.
