The Mobile Speed Camera Operator will operate on a 24/7 rotational schedule, responsible for setting up, operating, and dismantling mobile platform-based enforcement systems in various locations across New Zealand. This role contributes to our mission of community safety, requiring a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive site risk evaluations before every enforcement session.
  • Set up and synchronize mobile enforcement equipment in collaboration with the control center.
  • Oversee and operate camera and radar systems during enforcement activities.
  • Record and report any issues or incidents, including submitting maintenance reports complete with supporting evidence.
  • Perform pre-shift and post-shift tasks, including thorough checks of observatory assets and systems.
  • Maintain continuous communication with the control room throughout the shift.
  • Adhere to company protocols, including safe driving practices and professional public interactions.
Minimum Requirements
  • Holding a valid driver's license with a clean driving record and experience operating vehicles in a professional capacity.
  • Demonstrating strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and reporting data.
  • Exhibiting excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective interaction with the public and team members.
  • Able to work independently and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with traffic laws and regulations in New Zealand.
  • Proficiency in using technology and computer systems for data entry and reporting.
  • Commitment to road safety and passion for reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities.
