**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented transcriptionist to join our team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. As a healthcare transcription specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely transcription services that support patient care.

About the Role

As a clinical documentation professional, you will be responsible for transcribing dictated medical correspondence, maintaining confidentiality, and upholding professional communication standards. You will work closely with service leaders, clinicians, and administrative teams to support the smooth operation of transcription services.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Transcribe dictated medical letters and ensure completion within set timeframes.
  • Process and distribute outgoing correspondence within one workday of clinician sign-off.
  • Accurately enter data into the patient management system in a timely manner.
  • Respond to enquiries from staff, external agencies, GPs, and patients promptly.
  • Maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent customer service skills, a people-focused approach, and strong attention to detail. You should have a typing speed of 50-70 words per minute, strong keyboard proficiency, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
