**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled Dispute Resolution Specialist to join the Employment Relations Authority (ERA). As a member of the ERA, you will play a critical role in resolving employment relationship problems and enforcing minimum employment standards.

The ERA operates under the Employment Relations Act 2000 and is responsible for investigating complaints and making determinations on employment disputes. We are looking for candidates with strong knowledge of the New Zealand employment relations system, including the principles of good faith.

As a Dispute Resolution Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting hearings and inquiries to resolve employment disputes
  • Gathering information and taking evidence to inform decisions
  • Developing and applying flexible procedures to facilitate pragmatic decision-making

**Key Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand employment relations system, including the Employment Relations Act 2000 and other relevant legislation
  • Demonstrated competence in the conduct of hearings and/or inquiries
  • Knowledge and understanding of employment dispute resolution mechanisms
