Your Role

Are you a sales leader eager to drive growth and make a lasting impression? Do you thrive in dynamic environments and have a talent for building relationships and driving sales?

In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in driving our growth strategy, focusing on expanding ZURU's presence within grocery stores across the North Island. You will develop strong relationships with store managers, ensure optimal product placement, and execute sales strategies to propel revenue growth.

Sales and Account Development:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with grocery store managers, buyers, and key decision-makers, particularly within Pak N Save locations.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets by presenting ZURU's product range and negotiating shelf placements and promotional opportunities.
Store Visits and Insights:
  • Regularly visit stores across the North Island to strengthen partnerships and assess in-store opportunities.
  • Manage and optimise call cycles to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand product distribution into additional grocery stores.
  • Provide regular updates on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, call cycles, and customer feedback.
Execution and Optimization:
  • Ensure ZURU products are displayed prominently and according to planograms.
  • Monitor stock levels in stores, suggest reorders, and prevent out-of-stock situations.
  • Implement promotional activities and in-store campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
Event and Trade Show Representation:
  • Represent ZURU at regional trade shows, industry events, and in-store promotional events as needed.
  • Set up displays and conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and store staff.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in field sales within the FMCG or grocery sector.
  • Strong understanding of the New Zealand grocery landscape, including Pak N Save + New World stores.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently on the road.
  • Valid New Zealand driver's license and ability to travel frequently across the North Island (Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga).
