About the Role
We are seeking a Business Continuity Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our finance and business services directorate, you will play a critical role in maintaining the continuity of our operations in the event of a disruption or crisis. Your expertise in business continuity planning, risk assessment, and mitigation will be invaluable to our team.

You will work closely with other departments to ensure that our business continuity plan is up-to-date and effective. Your knowledge of risk management principles and practices will enable you to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. You will also work with stakeholders to ensure that our business continuity plan aligns with their needs and expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain the council's business continuity plan.
  • Identify and assess potential risks to the council's operations.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations.

About You
You will have a strong background in business continuity planning, risk assessment, and mitigation. Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – are essential, as is your ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be highly motivated, innovative, curious, and open to new ways of doing things.
