About the Role

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes is seeking a Rural Hospital Medicine Specialist to work in both the Emergency Department and Inpatient Ward. As a member of our small, competent, and supportive team, you will provide 24/7 medical cover to a population of approximately 41,000.

You will use your broad generalist knowledge and experience to diagnose and treat patients in ED and outpatient clinics, stabilise and transfer patients when required. With 3 months or less until obtaining your Rural Hospital Medicine qualification and/or holding/be eligible for Specialist Vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand, you are poised for success in this role.
