Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Occupational Health Consultant to join our multidisciplinary team in the Taranaki region. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing workplace assessments, patient education, and treatment to help individuals return to work safely and effectively.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting thorough workplace assessments to identify potential hazards and develop strategies for improvement
- Developing and implementing individualized plans for patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals
- Liaising with external partners, including specialists, general practitioners, and employers, to ensure seamless care coordination
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support client outcomes and program evaluation
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in occupational health/vocational rehabilitation
- A strong understanding of workplace safety and injury prevention principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with industry best practices
