The Role:

We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our Auckland Community Mobile team. As a Support Worker, you will be focused on improving the well-being of adults who experience mental health and addiction challenges in their local communities.

About the Job:

  • Goal setting and building confidence
  • Supporting people to take medication independently
  • Supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills
  • Attending appointments and advocating for people
  • Assisting people to connect with their communities

Requirements:

  • Caring nature and work in a recovery and strengths-focused way
  • Current full driver's licence
  • Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
  • New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or recognised equivalent
  • Support Worker experience or similar
  • Sound knowledge of the secondary mental health sector
  • Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
