The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Support Worker to join our Auckland Community Mobile team. As a Support Worker, you will be focused on improving the well-being of adults who experience mental health and addiction challenges in their local communities.
About the Job:
- Goal setting and building confidence
- Supporting people to take medication independently
- Supporting people with budgeting and independent daily living skills
- Attending appointments and advocating for people
- Assisting people to connect with their communities
Requirements:
- Caring nature and work in a recovery and strengths-focused way
- Current full driver's licence
- Current first aid certificate or willingness to obtain one
- New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or recognised equivalent
- Support Worker experience or similar
- Sound knowledge of the secondary mental health sector
- Knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi
