About the Role
Ryman Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our clinical leadership team as a Unit Coordinator for the Special Care Unit at one of our Christchurch villages.
The role involves working Monday to Sunday, 0730-1600 with a shared on-call component.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and support to your team, ensuring care meets the highest standards.
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes inclusivity and respect among team members.
  • Actively engage with residents' families/whanau, visitors, Allied Health Professionals, and District Health Boards to build lasting relationships.
  • Perform interRAI assessments and support your nursing team in conducting these evaluations.
  • Be available to provide additional time outside rostered hours to attend events, support team members or residents and families as needed.

About You

  • You will have a current APC (annual practising certificate) and interRAI training or willingness to gain competency.
  • Extensive experience as a Senior Registered Nurse or Nursing Leader is essential.
  • You must possess kindness, compassion, and drive to deliver exceptional care to our residents.
  • Flexibility to share responsibilities of the on-call component with other Unit Coordinators is required.
