About the Role

\

We have a full-time opportunity available for a Regional Health Development Lead to join our Southern Regional team.

\

This role is critical in enabling the delivery of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) strategic agenda for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures).

\

You will be the main contact point between local immunisation and screening stakeholders, enabling locally identified opportunities and navigating complex barriers to increase immunisation and screening rates.

\

Key Responsibilities

\
  • Ensure local immunisation and screening programme planning and delivery is aligned to regional and National priorities\
  • Work across Health NZ and with Primary Care, Hauora Maori and Pacific Services, Midwifery, and NGOs to support local prevention programmes\
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local stakeholders, including Hauora Maori Services and Pacific Services
\

About You

\

You will have strong relationship management skills, especially in working with Hauora Maori Services and Pacific Services.

\

You should have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with an ability to quickly assimilate new information and write clearly about complex issues.

\

You will have clinical and leadership experience, ideally including design and management of a programme, people, and resources.

\

A relevant clinical qualification, such as nursing with a current APC, is essential.

\

You will also have experience in project/programme leadership, immunisation and/or screening operations, or equivalent.
