The Intelligence Supervisor is responsible for managing the allocation of workloads and staffing to ensure the Intel team provides reliable, accurate and timely intelligence products to decision makers.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced people leader with a strong understanding of intelligence or an intelligence practitioner who wants to stretch their wings and help shape the intelligence architecture within Ara Poutama Aotearoa, Department of Corrections.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Leading and developing a team of intelligence staff
  • Managing workloads and allocating tasks effectively
  • Delivering high-quality intelligence products to stakeholders
  • Supporting the Manager Regional Intelligence in delivering an exemplary intelligence service

Requirements for success in this role include:

  • Demonstrated experience in intelligence, preferably with a focus on criminal and/or unlawful activities
  • Ability to direct and manage a team to accomplish tasks and meet client expectations
  • Leadership skills, including the ability to create and maintain a healthy team and build trust with clients
  • Advanced relationship management skills, focusing on encouraging and leading cooperative efforts
