Job Summary:

This Deputy Clinical Director - Intensivist role is a senior position within our critical care team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Head of Department in the clinical leadership and management of the Intensive Care Unit. This will involve participating in the development of clinical policies and procedures, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care, and providing medical leadership and support to junior staff members.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Department in the clinical leadership and management of the Intensive Care Unit
  • Participate in the development of clinical policies and procedures
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Provide medical leadership and support to junior staff members

Requirements:

  • Vocational Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of practice of Intensive Care Medicine
  • Fellowship in the Australasian College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM)
  • Experience in critical care medicine, preferably in a leadership role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
