Job Overview:
Mental Health Professional at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Capital, Coast & Hutt Valley

We are seeking a registered mental health professional to join our Infant, Child and Adolescent Family Specialty (ICAFS) team. The successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively with other team members to provide assessment and treatment for young people and their families.

About the Role:
This position involves undertaking initial assessments to establish care needs, working with external agencies to improve care delivery, family work, group work, education delivery, and specific interventions based on your skill area.

About the Team:
The ICAFS team is a community-based service that provides specialist assessment and treatment for 0-18 year olds and their families. We offer a range of therapeutic approaches and have a large team of passionate clinicians who work closely together.

About You:
The successful applicant will have excellent clinical and case management skills, be comfortable with mental health assessments, and be able to establish and maintain good working relationships within the team and service.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions
* Work with trauma, neurodiversity, challenging family systems, and risk identification and management
* Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal and external providers
* Collaborate with the team to ensure provision of appropriate assessment and treatment

Requirements:
* Registered mental health professional with New Zealand registration and/or current practicing certificate
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Knowledge of CAPA system an advantage
