About the Role

This dynamic and multi-disciplinary team environment requires a Clinical Nurse Specialist with experience in primary, secondary, or tertiary mental health settings. The successful candidate will assume a leading role in supporting professional growth and providing vital mental health services to vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver evidence-based treatments and support the implementation of primary health and tertiary mental health services.
  • Lead the development of culturally safe practices and partnerships with Māori whānau and iwi.
  • Work collaboratively with the Intervention and Support Practice Team to provide expert clinical practice and rehabilitation-oriented healthcare.

Requirements

  • A current Nursing Council of NZ Annual Practising Certificate as a Registered Nurse.
  • Strong cultural competence, including understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application.
  • Mental health nursing experience in primary/community, secondary, or tertiary settings.
  • Proven experience working with individuals facing acute and complex mental health issues.
