About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated individual who is passionate about working with rangatahi and their whanau to achieve positive outcomes. As a key member of our team, you will be involved in various aspects of planning and implementing positive outcomes for these young people.

Your role will be centered around supporting the mahi of bringing to life the Care Standards, which involves developing and implementing plans that cater to the unique needs of each individual. You will work collaboratively with Social Workers to ensure that these plans are implemented effectively.

In addition to your key responsibilities, you will also be required to engage with whanau, attend meetings with professionals from various agencies, and coordinate appointments for rangataki. You will also be involved in activity-based programs, helping rangataki learn independence skills such as shopping and budgeting, and recording administrative tasks to support the team.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Te Reo Maori and Tikanga
  • A full and clean driver's license
  • An understanding of Oranga Tamariki as an organisation
  • Knowledge of cross-cultural practices, particularly tikanga Maori and Pacific peoples' culture
