We're seeking a Nurse Advocate for Māori Patients to join our team at Mercy Hospice. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist – Māori Health (CNS-MH), you'll play a key role in shaping the future of palliative care with a specialist focus on Māori Health and advocacy.

This new position has been created to acknowledge our responsibilities to Te Triti o Waitangi and improve access for Māori patients. You'll work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to our patients and whānau.

About the Role:

  • Advocate for Māori patients and their families
  • Develop and implement culturally sensitive care plans
  • Collaborate with patients and whānau to make decisions regarding care and treatment
  • Lead the development of clinical services in palliative care with a focus on Māori Health and advocacy

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years' experience in palliative care or similar
  • Clinical, professional, and cultural leadership skills
  • Ability to demonstrate evidenced-based practice
