About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated NZ registered podiatrist to join our dynamic team as a Community Podiatry Specialist. As a specialist secondary service, we provide management of acute and active diabetic foot complications, including assessments, treatments, and working closely with other health services.

Responsibilities

  • To provide podiatry services, including diagnosis, treatment, prevention, education, and management, to vulnerable individuals in the Northland region.
  • To be part of a dynamic and supportive team environment, with an interesting and wide variety of work to keep you engaged and motivated.
  • To work closely with other health services to manage diabetic foot complications.

Requirements

  • NZ registration and eligibility or current practicing certificate.
  • Competence in managing high-risk foot pathologies, including diabetic and vascular foot complications.
  • Ability to communicate and empathize with patients and their whanau using appropriate language to convey health-related information.
  • Current NZ full drivers' license.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and work as part of a team to manage workloads within timeframes.
  • Committed to actively supporting Maori health aspirations and engaging with patients and their whanau.
