Experience in one of the most beautiful regions of New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.About the RoleAs a Podiatrist working in the High Risk Foot clinic, you will provide podiatry services including diagnosis, treatment, prevention, education and management to the community in the Northland region who are vulnerable to having active or high-risk foot complications due to diabetic or other high-risk foot pathologies.You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team environment, with an interesting and wide variety of work to keep you engaged and motivated.About the Team/Service/LocationThe Podiatry Services is a specialist secondary service that provides management of the acute and active diabetic foot.
This includes diabetic foot and wound assessments, treatment, and working closely with other health services to manage diabetic foot complications.About YouAs a Podiatrist, you must be NZ registered and be eligible or hold a current practicing certificate.
It is essential you have competence in managing high risk foot pathologies, including diabetic and vascular foot complications, wound assessment, treatment, and preventative management.You will need to have the ability to communicate and empathise with patients and their whanau using appropriate language to convey health related information.Current NZ full Drivers LicenceExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to be flexible and work as part of a team to manage workloads within the timeframesAbility to work independently and keep a motivated, positive attitude to health careCommitted to actively supporting Maori health aspirations, and engage with patients and their whanauWorking at Health New ZealandHealth New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
