This role is imperative to the leading of continuous improvement of procurement capability and activities across the organisation and its supply chain, all while promoting best practice.
Being a true leader will see you guide your team to perform at a high level - gathering, analysing and reporting data to optimise procurement performance.About the role Ko te mahi neiYou will work closely with our Procurement and Contract Leads to identify supply chain risks and opportunities using reporting tools to identify and streamline processes.
You'll manage the team to undertake special projects and will maintain the Procurement Framework and will stay up to date with Central Government directives.
Assisting the Procurement Managers and Contracts Category leads you will develop and implement category strategies that support Councils strategic objectives.Being collaborative and pragmatic will see you develop and maintain positive working relationships.
You'll have a supportive and inquisitive approach and will lead discussions to better enhance Procurement best practice.
You'll have extensive experience with the analytical side of this Procurement based role and will hold a relevant degree or MCIPS.What's in it for you?
