Support the management of Westpac eventsBritomart locationDue to an internal promotion, we have an Events Specialist role available for a highly motivated and highly organised individual.
This role sits within our Employee Communications, Engagement and Events Team and works alongside Event Managers and Specialists who put together amazing events.This is an exciting role supporting a very creative and hard-working Events Team to deliver different event experiences for customers, staff and the community.
The nature of this role means you are working to a yearly calendar of events which vary in location and times of the day.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Events Team with the management of events including communications, customer experience, response mechanisms, invitations and RSVP lists which are managed through an event registration platform (STOVA), signage requests and bookings, and event calendar management.Ability to execute both in person events and online/virtual events (Teams Town Hall/Webinars).Liaise with business partners to ensure engagement and alignment to deliver the agreed event.Ensure events are consistent with Westpac's brand framework.Ensure invoices are received, checked for accuracy, records kept and paid on time.Ensure budgets are well estimated, accurate and provided to the appropriate key stakeholder.Risk assessment to be completed specifically for external venues.Ensure all business objectives are clear and agreed.Na tau rourou | What will you bring?Knowledge and experience in a support role within the Events Management industry.Knowledge and experience with both in person and online/virtual events: webcasts, live streaming, webinars, Teams Town Hall Events.Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Organised and efficient with the ability to build and manage working relationships effectively to achieve work and team related goals.Have a can-do and a positive winning attitude, with a collaborative approach.Resilience to deal with adversity.Passionate about delivering events.Strong work ethics, and flexibility to meet varying work locations and hours.Westpac Hei Wahi Mahi | Working at WestpacIn addition to immersing yourself in a supportive team environment, you'll receive some great job perks and benefits including:4 weeks standard holiday + 5 additional days of wellbeing leave to support you to be your best.Additional purchased leave options up to 4 weeks per year.Banking benefits, insurance discounts and superannuation scheme.Growth and development – we provide opportunities for development and promote internal mobility.Recognition - we recognise and reward our star performers.School holiday subsidy - help you balance work and family during school holidays.2 Volunteer days per year.Ko matou tenei | Our OrganisationAt Westpac, we're working together to build a fairer and stronger New Zealand for our people, customers, and communities.
