EXPERIENCED SUPPORT WORKERS – OTAGO REGION
We are seeking up to 10 Support Workers.
The positions offered are permanent placements within the above region.
As Community Care Trust operates a 24/7 service to our community, our support workers are required to work on a rotating roster, which may include nights (sleep-over or wake-over shifts) and weekend shifts, generally with two consecutive rostered days off per week.
Minimum Requirements:
A level 4 New Zealand Health & Wellbeing certificate (or equivalencies that have an IQA assessment from NZQA) or
A minimum of 3 years relevant work experience as a support worker.
Wage rates start at $26.94 to $29.10 per hour gross taxable, depending on your level of qualification.
Contracted hours are from 32 to 40 hours per week.
Note: Guaranteed 32 hours exclusive of sleepovers.
ABOUT US:
Community Care Trust's Vision is a world that truly values and celebrates diversity.
We work in partnership with adults and youth across Te Waipounamu (the South Island) who need some support in their lives to achieve their goals.
We work alongside people to ensure they live the life they want and achieve their dreams and aspirations as valued and contributing people within their community.
Our organisation has a strong commitment to safeguarding children, and any employees will be vetted to a level appropriate to the role for which they have applied.
ABOUT THE JOB:
You will be supporting people in their homes, encouraging them to meet others, assisting them to achieve new goals, building new skills, and supporting them to have a better link to their community.
Our work is varied, as we partner with a range of people including those with an intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, youth, dual diagnosis, and those with a disability who have committed a criminal offence.
If this sounds like you, we would love to meet you and chat about what you would bring to this role.
We operate a 7-day service and require employees who can work evening and weekend shifts.
If you want to be part of the supportive, professional, and fun team, we would like to talk with you about employment with the Community Care Trust (CCT) covering the Otago Region.
An immediate start is preferred, but we are willing to work with you on the commencement timeframe.
To work for us you must:
Hold a current First Aid Certificate (or be willing to complete one at our cost).
Hold a FULL current NZ Driver License (or have the ability to obtain one).
Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
Have a valid work visa with a minimum of 12 months until expiry.
Go ahead and apply now.
We can fill you in about what makes us unique at an interview or contact one of the Human Resource team at 0800 800 001 and ask for Sandy or David.
Applications close 5pm Friday 24th January 2025.
