Event Coordinator

As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating cultural events that bring together the Waikato ethnic communities.
Responsibilities include: Planning and organising cultural events and festivals.Collaborating with ethnic communities to ensure culturally inclusive programmes.Managing event logistics, including venue selection, scheduling, and budgeting.Coordinating with volunteers, vendors, and performers.Promoting events through community networks and social media.Ensuring events align with WEFST's mission of cultural inclusivity and community support.Evaluating event success, gathering feedback, conducting debriefs, and providing reports for improvement.Requirements: Experience or interest in event planning and coordination.Strong organizational and project management skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work with diverse communities and create inclusive events.A Ministry of Justice background check is required for this role.
Time commitment:
2-8 hours per week (flexible schedule, event-based involvement).
