Primarily based in Wellington, however, we are open to flexible arrangements for the right candidate.The Lead Advisor (Te Reo Maori Workforce Supply and Leadership) provides intellectual and thought leadership and top-tier advice, significantly contributing to the overall purpose of Te Pou Ohumahi Matauranga.You'll play a critical role in our Te Reo Maori Workforce Supply & Leadership team, crafting and refining current strategies/initiatives and delivering solutions to ensure timely, well-placed, and skilled teacher availability.We are looking for someone with proven experience who can ensure sector-wide views and perspectives are reflected in our work and mentor team members.Salary range: $99,496- $120,690 per annum + 3% KiwiSaver.
The successful candidate will be appointed at a salary which reflects individual skills and experience.For more details about the role, you can view the Job Description here.About you | Mohou akeYou will have a passion for the revitalization of te reo Maori, school leadership and a desire to improve the opportunities for akonga to learn in and through te reo Maori.
You should be curious, a critical thinker, and a problem solver, ideally with policy, operational policy and/or service design skills, who can present complex information in easy to digest formats (including visual, written, verbal).You will also have:Robust business writing and presentation skills.Sharp critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Deep understanding of the machinery of government and government operations generally.Experience in leading national change initiatives.Skills in policy or service design, capable of simplifying complex information.Ability to guide and develop a professional team.The ability and willingness to adhere to the Public Service Standards of Integrity and Conduct.About our group and team | Matau ropu akeAt Te Tahuhu o te Matauranga, we support the education sector on a national, regional, and local level, sometimes directly interacting with akonga and whanau.Te Pou Ohumahi Matauranga develops and implements strategies for the education workforce and its leaders, focusing on specialist services, employment relations, pay equity, and more, ensuring the right teachers with the right supports are in the right places at the right times.Are you ready to make a difference?
