Utilising a business partnering model, you will collaborate with another Principal Advisor and two HR Advisors to deliver high-quality advice, lead people initiatives and support kaimahi development.
While a generalist practitioner you will have significant experience in an area of HR such as employment relations, change and/or performance management.
The appointment range for this role is between $123,009 to $150,344 (With a midpoint of $136,676) per annum and the salary will be determined based on the successful candidate's skills and experience.
Ko wai koe | About youTo be successful, you will have demonstrated HR skills and experience to match the expectations of the role with a big picture mindset and operational ability.
You'll be able to operate within a complex and politically sensitive environment and have sound knowledge of the public sector and machinery of Government.
Because you'll lead the HR Advisor some people management/leadership experience will be needed as will strong relationship management skills to develop networks across the organisation.
Continuous improvement is a focus for us so having the ability to challenge the process and lead improvement initiatives with your sphere of influence will be key.
While you do not have to understand te ao Maori to join us, openness to learn and comfort operating within a kaupapa Maori environment is needed as is a willingness to be supported to participate in tikanga practices such as powhiri.
