We are seeking a dedicated Revenue Officer to help manage council revenue collection, maintain the property database, and assist with team administration.Key responsibilities:Oversee and manage the collection of council revenues, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.Maintain and update the property database, keeping records up-to-date and accurate.Assist with various administrative tasks to support the team's operations.Perform credit control and banking reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.Provide support to team members and contribute to a positive work environment.Essential skills & experience:Proven experience in credit control and banking reconciliation.Strong understanding of local government processes, with knowledge of rating legislation being an advantage.Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.A calm and focused approach to work, even in busy or high-pressure situations.A can-do attitude with a willingness to work hard and contribute to the success of the team.A collaborative mindset, with a passion for being part of a positive, hardworking team.What we offer:A dynamic, supportive team that enjoys the work we do.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.The chance to work in a meaningful role within local government.Medical and life insurance.Free parking at our offices.4 weeks of annual leave, plus 3 additional leave days over Christmas.An extra week of leave after 5 years of service.If you're a dedicated professional looking to be part of a team that values precision, collaboration, and positive attitudes, we would love to hear from youApplication Closing Date: Wednesday 26 March 2025 at 5:00pm.Reference: # 31560Location: Te AwamutuExpertise: Accounting & Financial Services, Administration & Office Support
