About the Role This is an opportunity for a registered nurse or social worker to apply their skills, knowledge and understanding to a varied caseload; coordinating care and providing therapeutic interventions, solutions and advocacy.
You will be conducting comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessments and developing collaborative recovery plans utilizing your skills and knowledge to support your work with Tamariki and Rangitahi.
Key responsibilities of the role: * Organise prioritise and manage a caseload including the documentation associated with this.
* Demonstrated skills in comprehensive mental health assessment and risk management, interventions, including formulation * Clear communication with MDT wider team and community partners.
* Practice with a tangata whaiora and whanau centred approach and be a strong advocate for best practice.
* Foster a culture of openness and quality improvement, with tāngata whaiora and whānau at the centre.
* Encourage and lead innovation and continuous improvement as part of the way we work.

About the Team The Rural North Sector provides a range of secondary care mental health services across the Coromandel Peninsula and Hauraki region.
Our base is at the Manaaki Centre in Thames with outreach clinics located in several other towns, this position will be majority based in Thames.
We enjoy close relationships with our local NGO and PHO partners.
We are a busy service looking to recruit a dedicated clinician to meet the ever-growing demand for effective mental health care.
In addition to working with a group of friendly and welcoming staff, you would be living and working in the beautiful surrounds of the Hauraki.
You can enjoy a slower pace of life surrounded by the mountains, the bush and the sea - while still having three major cities within easy reach.
About Thames Thames Hospital is a modern 50-bed secondary care facility offering a comprehensive range of services, including an emergency department, inpatient care, day surgery, an infusion unit, rehabilitation services, birthing unit and low-acuity mental health care.
Located in the heart of The Coromandel, Thames is a charming town steeped in history and surrounded by stunning natural beauty.
The area offers a mix of colonial architecture, a vibrant arts scene, and a rich cultural heritage, including Māori history and the town's gold mining past.

* Experience in upholding Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
* Have a passion for making a difference to the lives of our tāngata whaiora and whanau.
* Be highly organised, self-motivated and able to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team * Applicants must have registration, or be eligible for registration, with the appropriate registration body.
* Have experience working within the ICAMHS sector.
* Ability to successfully engage and empathise with families/whanau in a positive manner.
* Full clean driver's license.
* Ability to implement Te Tiriti O Waitangi in daily work.
