About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced health professional to join our team as an Allied Health Professional in the Mana Ake Program in Schools.

As a member of our clinical mental health and wellbeing workforce, you will be responsible for delivering early interventional health and wellbeing guidance, support and service within Primary and Intermediate Schools.

About the Team/Service

The clinical mental health and wellbeing workforce deliver evidence-informed individual, group and whole of class wellbeing programmes/interventions for tamariki as well as broader wellbeing cluster support to kura and schools.

About You
  • An experienced health professional with current registration in Nursing, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or related field.
  • Well experienced in working with community, tamariki and whānau.
  • Able to work collaboratively with educators to provide targeted wellbeing interventions for students.
  • Hold a full driver's license.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment for mental health conditions in a school setting.
  • Developing and implementing effective wellbeing strategies in collaboration with educators.
  • Providing training and education to school staff on mental health and wellbeing topics.
  • Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with stakeholders.
