Bring your industry expertise to drive sales growth Focus on driving category growth, strategizing across industry Sectors Lead field and phone based sales, driving KPI deliverables RE-THINK what you know about OfficeMax - our solutions range may surprise you National Sales Manager, Safety and Packaging Reporting to our GM, Business Solutions and Development, in this role you will lead a team of Packaging and Safety Specialists (both field and phone based sales) located across the motu. Tasked with building a growth strategy across our Sales Sectors (Trade and Industry, Healthcare, Services and Education), drive category sales and ensure our Specialists are managing and exceeding their KPIs within our Packaging and Safety solutions. You will work closely with suppliers and collaborate across multiple departments internally including Sales, Merchandise and Procurement. Having proven success in identifying and developing new business opportunities, you will excel at influencing processes and decisions, while also being able to take internals and externals stakeholders on the journey. We're one of the largest packaging consumables suppliers across Aotearoa, we supply products from 3M, Steel Blue, and Eagle Protect, and have a wide category range extending to various coffee solutions and even cleaning chemicals - get curious and RE-THINK what you know about us If you are looking for your next challenge, and are wanting to do more - this could be the right role to stamp your mark Your key responsibilities are: Excellence in Business Development Drive the growth strategy for the Packaging & Safety segment Align strategy and operational plans for Packaging & Safety with the Sales Management team Drive the achievement of Sales targets, identify and develop leads, sell to new and existing customers and increase "share of wallet" Achieve growth and the effective 'sell through' of Packaging & Safety product categories by understand and responding to market requirements such as trends, brand preferences, demand cycles, and end-customer needs Excellence in Sales Execution Negotiate terms of trade with large customers to achieve win-win outcomes Develop a collaborative, cohesive and strong OfficeMax service-delivery culture across the teams to support effective Interiors sales execution Support RFP, Tender and contract renewal processes for Interiors customers to optimise customer retention Innovation Generate insights through seeking and interpreting key data and metrics and apply to improve supply chain performance Lead and champion change projects internally and externally What you will bring: 5+ years Business to Business Sales experience is essential with experience leading Sales teams Demonstrated experience in complex supplier and customer negotiations Proven success, lifting capabilities ensuring KPIs are meet with an active pipeline Track record of lifting both individual and team capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strategic thinker with a proactive approach OfficeMax has RE-SHAPED the business to enhance our customer's experience Being able to adapt and evolve has been key to our success.
