Mo te tunga | About the role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Evaluation Manager to lead our dedicated evaluation team deliver evaluation, knowledge and evidence-based services to frontline Districts and Service Centres.
Your team is an integral part of Evidence Based Policing (EBP) for New Zealand Police.
EBP is about using information, crime-science and problem-solving methods to ensure that proven approaches and tactics inform our choices, are seen in the results, and provide confidence that what we do works.
This role is crucial in enabling the success or otherwise of our Executive and strategic priorities.
Key Accountabilities: Lead the Evaluation team in delivering objective assessments of the success or otherwise of Executive and strategic priorities.
Manage the functions and deliverables of the team and the work program they are responsible for.
Work collaboratively with other managers and teams across Evidence Based Policing and wider business group to provide a multi-disciplinary and integrated approach to high-quality and innovative work.
Ensure a multi-disciplinary collaboration across EBP teams with a strong customer and frontline focus.
Enable high performance within the Evaluation team through measurable performance targets, mentorship and skills development.
Develop strong relationships that allow a deep understanding of operational realities and the needs of the frontline.
Develop and leverage strong strategic and functional relationships with external agencies, partners and potential partners for EBP as required.

Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work seamlessly with other teams and managers.

Some travel may be required.
Applicants must have a tertiary qualification in a relevant research or evaluation field, or equivalent industry experience.

Utu a-tau | Salary This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $153,652 and $158,773 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
