About the role The Asset Manager role is to develop, protect and manage sportsground assets owned by the council to provide the community with the facilities and services they need in our open spaces. This includes:
Supporting the annual capital works programme and contributing to project managementPreparing reports and advice to CouncilPreparing and providing input into business and asset management plans, managing contracts, and other important planning documents relevant to the management of assets.
Preparing, monitoring, and managing budgets and sections of the Annual Plan in respect of the portfolio activities.
About you Our ideal candidate is a go-getter, with the ability to work across a range of diverse projects, leading and motivating a team to meet organizational objectives, with a focus on the finer details. You will have strong experience in the following:
Proven ability to lead staff, develop talent, and foster a high-performance cultureExperience in management of development of public spacesExperience in budgeting and financial managementProducing high-level strategic and operational reportsExperience in community engagementWe're committed to providing a working environment that embraces, values, and reflects the diversity of the community we serve.
