Management (Community Services & Development) Executive Director (Full Time Contractor, not actually required to be in Auckland)Are you passionate about making positive change for underserved communities? Do you have the skills to effectively push for change to government policy and organisational practices?We are a care experienced-founded and led initiative started in 2022 which aims to improve access to tertiary education for those who have been through foster care. We partner with a range of institutions to leverage their positions in the ecosystem for good, including universities, the Transitions Support Service, Oranga Tamariki, the Tertiary Education Commission and VOYCE Whakarongo Mai. TEC4L is an organisation committed to Te Titiri o Waitangi. We place high importance on Te Aomāori & on ensuring iwi māori are prioritised in our advocacy work.We are looking for the person who can be our front face, someone who understands the need for transparency, adaptability, lives our values and is excited to lead this organisation into its next phase.Services:Driving change by advocating for policy changes to promote tertiary access to care leavers by building and leveraging relationships - including with government, universities and the third sector.Overseeing our research and advocacy campaigns. Developing and monitoring against success metrics and KPIs.Maintaining financial accounts, including reconciling Xero and monthly reporting.Overseeing donor relations and reporting to the board of directors. Managing paid and voluntary team members.We’re looking for someone who has: People skills – proven ability to form new relationships, and successfully manage these relationships over time.Experience in strategy and policy advocacy.Experience with the administrative skills involved in overseeing a charitable entity.Knowledge of te ao Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Knowledge of foster care (either having been through foster care or worked in the foster care space would be highly valued, although not essential).Knowledge of the education sector, especially tertiary education (highly valued but not essential).Applicants with care experience are particularly encouraged to apply.Benefits of working with TE4CL include: Making a difference for an often disadvantaged group in our society who can need great support but are usually overlooked.Autonomy, agency and flexibility in your work.$45-47 NZD per hour for 35 hours weekly on a 12 month initial contract, extendable by a further 24 months depending on TE4CL’s organisational need.Remote working with potential access to co-work with a great partner organisation with offices around the motu.
