The person who would suit this role is an energetic, go-getter, someone who is a great coach/mentor to their team, while working closely from a digital/ecomm view with other cross-functional teams and agencies.

Our client partners with fantastic brand, digital, and media agencies to support the team.


About the Role:

This role reports into the GM and has 3 direct reports (E-Commerce Coordinator, Marketing Coordinator, and Customer Care Coordinator), while also working closely with internal cross-functional teams and leading relationships with brand, digital, and media agencies.

The official role title is eCommerce & Digital Manager.

This role is responsible for growing the performance of eCommerce channels and digital marketing with full P&L responsibility for the channel.

This is both a strategic role and at times hands-on role, tasked to:

  1. create and deliver the annual eCommerce promotional calendar
  2. manage new product launches online across all eCommerce channels (NZ, Australia & Marketplaces)
  3. develop and maintain a strategically aligned digital roadmap
  4. manage and maintain the digital infrastructure of the business (including e-commerce, marketing & business systems)
  5. develop and maintain the customer acquisition strategy
  6. manage content planning/creation
  7. lead the digital agency partnerships
  8. understand and act on opportunities for sales and net margin growth
  9. lead the retail/digital marketing and customer service team, who are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the website, content creation, photoshoots, and customer service (email, website, live chat & 0800 enquiries and administration)
About You:
  1. First and foremost, you are a go-getter You will be a passionate digital e-commerce specialist with leadership experience, ideally from retail or FMCG.
  2. You will thrive in a smaller business where you are a strategic decision maker, who equally isn’t afraid of rolling their sleeves up.
  3. You will have proven success in the growth of a retail business with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, coupled with a natural passion for creativity and fashion. You’re 100% a people person
  4. Ideally, you will have experience using Magento and must be familiar with email marketing platforms such as Dotdigital or Klaviyo.
  5. You will be comfortable managing technology and digital agencies who manage website development, paid ads & SEO.
  6. You’ll have a passion for innovation and an interest in global trends in the retail space. The size of the business means new ideas are encouraged and can be introduced in a nimble fashion and optimized/updated easily to meet changing trends and changes to the retail environment.
  7. You’ll bring your excellent communication skills to collaborate internally across all areas of the business and alongside external partners as well.
  8. We are looking for an autonomous, resilient self-starter, a practical thinker who displays loads of initiative, and who is a fantastic coach/mentor to their team.
