Utilities Manager

Tatua is seeking a highly motivated Utilities Manager to join its core Site Services Team.

You will lead a team of two Utilities Technicians to manage and maintain all utilities plant on the site. You will be responsible for ensuring that all site utilities are efficient, compliant and are always available to the factory and developing a strategy for emergency backup. You will also be responsible for the organisation of contractors and purchasing of required services, equipment and materials. You will undertake capital works to upgrade the site utilities plant as required.

**You will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes**:

- Prior experience of leading a team is desirable
- A tertiary qualification in a suitable field e.g. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Experience managing small to medium sized upgrade projects
- Knowledge of steam boilers and water treatment plants desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Excellent fault finding and technical skills
- Excellent communication skills, ability to listen to and develop the ideas of others
- Strong attention to detail
- Physically fit
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Prior experience in a dairy and or food environment is desirable but not essential.

Working hours are typically forty hours per week Monday - Friday. Some work will be required outside of normal business hours to support the Utilities Technicians if required.

Tatua is situated east of Morrinsville. Approximately 25-30 minutes from Hamilton city, Matamata and Cambridge and 15 minutes from Te Aroha.
