**Position**: Northern Region Commercial Leader

**Prime Responsibility**: As the Northern Region Commercial Leader, your role is crucial to the success of our Middle Market & SME (Commercial) business in Auckland, Hamilton, and Tauranga. You will be responsible for ensuring top-quality client service, driving revenue growth, and fostering a culture of excellence.

**Your Responsibilities Include**:
**L**eadership**: Inspire and lead your team to achieve their full potential, setting clear targets and goals to ensure their success.

**Management**: Efficiently coordinate resources, including staff and budgets, to achieve set tasks and projects.

**Strategy**: Define, evaluate, and communicate long and medium-term objectives for our Northern Region Commercial Business.

**Financial Responsibility**: Exercise control over expenditure while maximizing opportunities for growth and development.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Strategic Leadership and Management**
- Drive a sales culture change within the Commercial Team, in collaboration with Sales/Growth Leader and Commercial Leader.
- Develop clear and effective renewal and broking strategies to exceed targets.
- Foster client retention and development by encouraging regular communication and addressing retention issues.
- Review subordinates' performance and provide ongoing training and development.
- Implement the "one Marsh" approach and maximize the use of national and global resources.

**Financial Performance**
- Ensure the Northern Region Commercial team meets and exceeds service standards.
- Maintain strict control over expenses while consistently meeting revenue and profit budgets.
- Maximize team and account profitability through efficient work practices and expense control.

**Client/Industry Relations**
- Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers within the team's geographic location.
- Stay updated on industry changes and client needs to protect and preserve our client relationships.
- Ensure in-depth knowledge of the client's business, risk management, and insurance needs.

**Compliance & Technical**
- Review processes to implement best practices and adhere to national standards.
- Strictly follow quality practices and procedures.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of insurance and relevant legislation.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's Errors and Omissions avoidance procedures.

**Revenue Generation**:

- Devise and implement sales plans to achieve revenue targets.
- Actively develop new business opportunities and support revenue generation initiatives.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Senior Associate of ANZIIF
- 15+ years insurance industry experience
- Degree preferred
- NZQA Level 5 Qualification (NZ Compliance for Advisers)
